Diamond Lab Off-Season Development (Open to All)

Diamond Lab is once again proud to present its off-season term time training programme for players who want to take their game to the next level.

This programme will create the opportunity for players to improve both baseball and non-baseball specific skills as well as understanding of the game during the off season. 

The newly formed Foundation Programme will be focused on building quality fundamental baseball skills and knowledge.  Every player that goes through the off-season with us will start their next club season confident and well prepared from the very first pitch.

The Development Programme will be filled with work on mobility, strength, and speed for overall athleticism. We will also be working on arm strength, foot speed, bat speed, and mechanics (pitching, hitting, and fielding) for baseball specific skills. Beyond these performance-based elements, there will be attention paid towards injury prevention and arm health, as well as learning and understanding how to better use your body in the game.

Lead instructors for the programme are Dan Tan and Toshiki Nakao.  Coach Dan and Coach Toshiki have vast experience in the baseball world, locally and internationally.  Both coaches have a firm understanding of long-term athlete development and take pride in prioritising fundamentals.  Joining Coach Dan and Coach Toshiki will be a number of other knowledgeable coaches who have a proven track record of bringing out the best in their players.

We’ve been lucky enough to once again secure the wonderful GL Weir Centre indoor venue at Mount Albert Grammar School.

This year we’re excited to offer programmes for two levels:

Foundation Programme
Ages 10-12
6 Weeks
Limit of 24 participants
Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00p.m. – 7:30p.m. – option for one day per week
26 May – 2 July

Development Programme
Ages 13-16
6 Weeks
Limit of 24 participants
Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:15p.m. – 9:00p.m. – option for one day per week
26 May – 2 July

We are happy to consider players outside these ages and groupings on a case by case basis – please contact us to discuss.

To secure your place in this programme, please complete the registration form for each attending player, select which programme you wish to book, add to cart and head to the checkout. You can opt to pay by credit card in full or make a payment to the Club's bank account via Bank Deposit.
