Honouring Our Founders and Longest-Serving Members
Life Membership is Central City's highest honour, reserved for those who have given exceptional, sustained service to the club. The list below is our starting point — if you know of a Life Member missing from this record, please get in touch.
Joel Canfield
Responsible for the creation, institution, and development of Central City Baseball Club.
Chris Ackroyd
Responsible for the creation, institution, and development of Central City Baseball Club.
Cathy Trudeau
A founding and long-term member of the club, with unstinting service on the Executive Board as President.
Elaine Chung
A founding and long-term member of the club, with unstinting service on the Executive Board as Treasurer.
Peter Elliot
A long-term member of Central City Baseball Club and of the Baseball New Zealand Board.
Edgar W. Mason
The very first member of the BNZ Hall of Fame, Ed is credited with founding the modern game of baseball in 1989 and led the way for what the game has become in this country today.
Marie Weaver
Joined the club in 2008, has served as the club's head scorer, and provides official reviews of the annual financials.
Colin Weaver
A long-time coach and manager of teams across various grades. Colin has also invented, built, and repaired almost anything to do with the Central City facilities.
