Junior Baseball
From first swings in T-Ball through to 19U, our junior programme gives every player a clear pathway — developing skills, building confidence, and growing a lifelong love of the game.
What to Know Before You Start
Here's some general information that applies across most of our junior grades.
Registration for all junior grades happens through GameDay, administered by Baseball New Zealand and Auckland Baseball — not through this website. Use the grade cards below to find the details for your player's age group, including training times, equipment, and how to register.
Baseball Season
Our regular season typically starts after Labour Weekend in late October and runs through to March, with a break over the Christmas and New Year holidays. Pre-season training and "Have a Go" days are usually held in September.
Uniforms
For most grades (10U and older), players are provided with a club jersey for games, which must be returned at the end of the season. All players receive a club cap to keep. Players will need to provide their own white, unstriped baseball pants.
Required Gear
A baseball glove is the most important piece of equipment — if in doubt about sizing, ask your coach before buying. Moulded plastic or rubber cleats are permitted in older grades, but metal cleats are only allowed from 16U upwards. An athletic protector (box) is mandatory for all male players from 10U and up.
Games & Locations
Our home ground is War Memorial Park, 15 May Road, Mt Roskill. For grades 10U and older, the season includes both home and away games, travelling to play other clubs across the Auckland region.
