NZBUA Umpire School

It's that time of the year where the NZBUA  would like to offer accreditation courses for community club and association umpires.

Our first event of the year is annual NZBUA Umpire School 18-20 October 2024 and to be held in Auckland, 

This is open to all new, inexperienced and experienced umpires.

The NZBUA provides a development program that allows for step by step upward levels of accreditation.

As baseball in New Zealand grows the opportunities for umpires grow with it. The association will provide new umpires with fundamental knowledge of mechanics, their responsibilities and authority.

This year we will have a guest speaker for the weekend with over 300 ABL games, Olympic and WBSC Prem12 experience.

Once again this year we will offer the Community Club and NZBUA Community Association course.

The Community Club Umpire certification - part one will take place as the online workshop which is in the evening and is about 2hrs with part two practical sessions to be organised by each club or region with the NZBUA to complete the certification. Roughly 2 hrs in the evening..
